The Karuna Institute is pleased to offer five foundation video lectures by Franklyn Sills that help orient students and practitioners to the practice of Craniosacral Biodynamics. Each video introduces the viewer to core principles and intentions of clinical work in this field. They were videoed July 2002 in front of a live audience of experienced practitioners. Questions and answer sections are included in some of the videos. They are on sale by the Institute as a complete set.

Video One: The Relational Field

Franklyn discusses the importance of generating a safe relational field in the clinical setting and describes some of the practices taught at the Institute.

Video Two: Forces At Work

The nature of the forces that organize the human system are discussed and the concepts of the Breath of Life and universal tidal forces are introduced.

Video Three: Primary Respiration

Primary Respiration is discussed as the foundation of clinical work. Tidal forces and motions are described along with the action of the potency of the Breath of Life within the fluids of the body. An awareness of organizing fulcrums and midlines that is essential for clinical work is introduced.

Video Four: The Neutral

The essential clinical awareness of the neutral is discussed. Clinical awareness of the “wholistic shift” and the “state of balance” is emphasized. The concept of the “centering function” of the potency of the Breath of Life is introduced in relationship to unresolved inertial forces and experiential processes.

Video Five: The Inherent Treatment Plan

Franklyn discusses the nature of clinical practice in Craniosacral Biodynamics. The “Inherent Treatment Plan” is described as a function of the healing and centering function of the Breath of Life. The stages of clinical practice is discussed as a function of decisions made by an innate Intelligence rather than by practitioner analysis or diagnosis.
