Retreats at Karuna

Each year the Institute offers a meditation retreat. Although open to anyone interested, the emphasis of the retreat is for people in the helping professions. The retreat is usually in silence.

Dana: The retreat fee covers residential costs and the travel expenses of the teachers. The teachings are offered freely according to the Buddhist tradition. Voluntary donations to support the teachers can be given separately at the end of the retreat.

Kum Nye Meditation Retreats

Kum Nye Meditation Retreat

This retreat integrates traditional insight meditation practice from the Burmese forest tradition with Kum Nye movement and awareness practice from the Tibetan tradition. Kum Nye is a powerful process of enquiry into our conditioned form which emphasises the body as the principal access into our psycho-emotional and spiritual process.
